Pineapple Cup participant Boone Smith is without golf clubs at the moment. According to source's close to Boone Smith's agent, Smith's golf clubs were taken from his automobile recently. Smith's play in the 2008 Pineapple Cup suggested that a new club deal was, or should be, in the works. However, since the conclusion of the event, Smith has been mum on whether or not he was getting new clubs. Smith, standing nearly 6' 9", is a clubmaker's nightmare and reportedly has a difficult time finding club lengthening plugs long enough for his frame. Smith is now forced to take action to remedy the situation in time to gear up for the 2009 Pineapple Cup.
Smith could not be reached for comment.
